The Family Karate Center of Camp Lejeune was founded on the principles of teaching excellence, positive role models, and a rich tradition of Okinawan Karate.

The Family Karate Center of Camp Lejeune is a member of the Universal Martial Arts Association and teaches with the emphasis on "Character Development", not just martial arts ability. Our Instructors have been successful in helping students of all ages and abilities to discover the benefits of martial arts training for themselves. Our school focuses on the traditions of Okinawan martial arts, respect, discipline and loyalty.

As a student at the Family Karate Center, expect to learn the very best ways to train and practice. Expect to be coached in the most practical and effective methods of self-defense. And understand that Okinawa Shorin Ryu Karate isn't just about self-defense, competitive sport karate, or even physical fitness, "it's about personal empowerment, discipline, confidence, and respect. We are focused on adult fitness, self defense, mind & body conditioning, womens self defense and childrens classes".

Every student is important and we are fully committed to providing extraordinary instruction with an emphasis on safety, technical proficiency, and a focus on developing a constructive and positive attitude.

Our Instructors will provide you with the most complete and effective methods to reach your full potential. Family Karate Center of Camp Lejeune is more than just martial arts and self defense. It is by far the most comprehensive and exciting martial arts program in our area.

All classes are taught by Sempai Patricia Klug, 3rd Degree Black Belt, Sempai Kevin Ridge, 2nd Degree Black Belt, Sempai Dominic Linger and Sempai Chuck Klug, These four instructors have a combined total of over 35 years experience in Shorin Ryu Karate.

The school is located at the Tarawa Terrace Community Center aboard Camp Lejeune , NC.
