The Family Karate Center of Camp Lejeune is a member of the Universal Martial Arts Association and teaches with the emphasis on "Character Development", not just martial arts ability. Our Instructors have been successful in helping students of all ages and abilities to discover the benefits of martial arts training for themselves. Our school focuses on the traditions of Okinawan martial arts, respect, discipline and loyalty. As a student at the Family Karate Center, expect to learn the very best ways to train and practice. Expect to be coached in the most practical and effective methods of self-defense. And understand that Okinawa Shorin Ryu Karate isn't just about self-defense, competitive sport karate, or even physical fitness, "it's about personal empowerment, discipline, confidence, and respect. We are focused on adult fitness, self defense, mind & body conditioning, womens self defense and childrens classes". Every student is important
and we are fully committed to providing extraordinary instruction
with an emphasis on safety, technical proficiency, and a focus on
developing a constructive and positive attitude. All classes are taught by Senpai Patricia Linger,
2nd Degree Black Belt, Senpai Troy Siler, 1st Degree Black Belt
and Shihan Frank Williams, 8th Degree Black Belt. These three instructors
have a combined total of over 70 years experience in Shorin Ryu
Karate. | ||||||
